I have been the long-term manager of two brands I built from the ground up in terms of their visual identity. For one of these, I recruited and mentored a junior creative team; for the other, I worked almost entirely single-handedly. √ Promoted to develop the entire visual identity for a new national publication, single-handedly designing prototype issues and successfully launching the title on time and on budget. Managed all aspects of design and visuals for its entire 23-year run. √ Hired, trained, mentored, and managed a dynamic creative services staff focused on teamwork, efficiency, and follow-through. √ Role required extensive digital imaging and retouching work, executed at a meticulous level on a daily basis.

April 2020 - February 2022 (1 year 10 months)

√ Role broadened in 2020 from Art Director of Soaps In Depth, to Art Director of Dot Dot Dot and various special-interest publications, as well as Deputy Art Director of Woman's World weekly. √ Executed or supervised the design of all pages for these publications by a five-person art staff, ensuring they adhered to the visual identity and style of a long-standing, trusted brand (Woman’s World).

Over the course of my career, I have applied my talent and creativity to bring a distinctive flair to projects in a wide range of disciplines including email and web design, logo design, typography, imaging, copywriting, and promotion and marketing. I am an expert user of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop and DreamWeaver), Squarespace and WordPress, and is also fluent in QuarkXPress, Microsoft Office and most aspects of Mac IT management.
